Enrolments

Enrolling

A child is able to start school if their fifth birthday falls on or before the 30 April of that year.

Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.

Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. To find out whether you live in zone, visit findmyschool.vic.gov.au

Our school enrolment forms can be downloaded using the attached link or by contacting the school office during office hours. We ask that enrolment forms are returned to the school by 30th June in the year prior to enrolment however we do happily accept enrolments after this date.

If you live outside of our school zone but would still like to be considered for an out of zone enrolment please contact the school to discuss your circumstances along with your reasons for wanting to enroll you child at APS instead of your local or closest school.

Please note that all out of zone enrolments are at the discretion of our Principal Rochelle Cukier. All other applications will be considered subject to available space, and prioritised according to:

  • students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time
  • all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.

When enrolling your child, we ask to sight an original Birth Certificate, a Certificate of Immunisation and evidence that you live within our school zone.

You can obtain a Certificate of Immunisation from either:

  • The Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR)
    Ph: 1800 653 809
    Email: acir@medicareaustralia.gov.au or
  • Medicare by following this link where you may need to register with Medicare Online Services.
